Our Mission

We are a Bible-believing, New Testament church that presents the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His Saving Grace, and the Power of the Holy Spirit to the people of Niagara and across Canada. We are training up the next generation of true Bible believers; Strong in the Word of God. Strong in the Holy Spirit. Maximizing their God-given gifts. Living victorious lives in Christ. Fulfilling The Great Commission!

What We Value

  • PEOPLE

    Every person counts! There are no outcasts. There are no elites. Jesus is drawing all people to Himself. So understanding and cooperating with what He’s doing is our strategy and our privilege. Each of us has a unique role to play, which perfectly fits with how God has made us and who we are in Christ.

  • COMMUNITY

    We do our best at EaglesNest to welcome and treat others the way we would want to be welcomed and treated. So there’s always room for one more at the EaglesNest table.

  • HONESTY

    God knows us inside out. So why hide it? That’s why the Holy Spirit is here. He helps transform us into being more and more like Jesus. But along the way, being real and genuine with God and others around me (no walls, no facades), allows God to take me from where I am to where He wants me to be.

  • ACCOUNTABILITY

    At EaglesNest, we pursue Accountability. We encourage everyone to seek out intentional relationships that will lovingly help form Christ’s nature and character in you. These relationships are based on you giving your permission to receive Biblical counseling and guidance from a spiritually mature brother or sister in Christ. It’s called ‘Discipleship’ and it’s very, very cool!

    At EaglesNest, we endeavor to teach and preach the Word of God and minister to individual needs. We are confident that His Word and His Spirit will touch your daily lives, answer your deepest questions, set the course for your future and will have an eternal impact on all who Hear and Obey Him.

What We Believe

  • We Believe in God

    First and foremost, we believe in one God who is three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 

  • We Believe in the Bible

    We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inspired Word of God to us, and we believe all of it in its entirety.

  • We Believe in Jesus

    We believe that God’s only Son, Jesus Christ, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus was crucified and died for all of our sins. He was buried. But on the 3rd day, He arose from the dead and He is alive forever. Jesus ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. We believe that Jesus is both fully God and fully man and that He is the one and only way to God. We believe that through Jesus Christ, personal salvation and eternal life in Heaven is received.

  • We Believe in Salvation

    We believe that on our own, we are lost in our sins and in need of a Saviour. Jesus is that Saviour, sent to us by Father God as His rescue plan to deliver all of mankind from destruction. Sin brings that destruction into our lives here on earth and ends with punishment for that sin in eternity. We believe that Jesus’ resurrection paved the way to a life on earth that is full of peace, happiness and love and that will continue in all eternity.

  • We Believe in Baptisms of Water and of The Holy Spirit

    We believe that water baptism is a distinct aspect of the new birth that we have as Christians. We also believe in the evidence of that new birth through speaking in tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. 

  • We Believe in Divine Healing

    We believe that when Jesus died for our sins He died for our sicknesses too. Part of faith in Jesus Christ is receiving healing just like we receive redemption.

Our Story

EaglesNest Community Church is an affiliate member of the Association of Faith Churches and Ministries (AFCM International) based in Willmar, Minnesota.   AFCM was founded by Dr. Jim and Kathleen Kaseman in 1976.  Ministerial staff at EaglesNest are ordained with AFCM and are graduates of AFCM’s International Training Centre (AFCMITC), also based in Willmar.  

Pastor Ric and Deborah Borozny are pastored by Dr. Mark T. Barclay of Midland, Michigan. In 1980, Dr. Barclay founded and is Pastor of Living Word Church along with Mark Barclay Ministries. Both ministries are based in Midland. The Borozny’s submit themselves and their ministry to Dr. Barclay and Dr. Kaseman as their spiritual and ministerial overseers.

Pastor Ric and Deborah are life-long residents of Niagara and were called into full-time ministry in 1987. EaglesNest was founded several years later.  The Borozny’s have enjoyed pastoring here for over 35 years. They are actively involved with missions work and church-planting in foreign nations. Pastor Ric also oversees Pastoral Care for AFCM’s Ontario members.
