The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Joanne Summers
1 Tim 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Luke 13:1-5 (AMP) – 1 Just at that time some people came who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate [the governor] had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus replied to them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans because they have suffered in this way? 3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways and live changed lives], you will all likewise perish. 4 Or do you assume that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed were worse sinners than all the others who live in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways and live changed lives], you will all likewise perish.”
Definition of KEEP – to hold; to retain in one’s power or possession; not to lose or part with; to have in custody for security or preservation; to preserve from falling or from danger; to protect; to guard or sustain etc.
God can’t keep what we have not committed –
God being able to keep us is contingent upon us repenting—turning to Him. This world is fallen and is full of evil and wickedness and no one is exempt from being touched by it. UNLESS, there is repentance and a receiving of forgiving of sins. Jesus already paid the price for ALL sin, but nothing happens until we acknowledge that we are sinners and receive the free gift of salvation that comes through repentance.
Luke 9:56b (AMP) – “…for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”]…
Romans 3:23-24 (AMP) – 23 since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,
Romans 10:9 (AMP) – because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
We are praying for the harvest. Hebrews 10:37 (TPT) – For soon and very soon, “The One who is appearing will come without delay!
- Oh, we thank You Father. Thank You Father. Oh, how You love all humanity. You sent Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. Ha! Ha! Mercy! Mercy! Mercy! Mercy this morning! Oh Lord, we cry out Father God for Your mercy! Oh, Father send forth Your Spirit. Oh, we cry out for the rains of Your Spirit to move across the earth. Oh Lord God, that desire for You would rise in the hearts of men and women. A desire for truth that will set them free.
- Oh, we lift up our Prime Minister and his family. We lift up the federal, provincial, and municipal government this morning. We lift up mayors’ offices, city counsellors, our judges. Father give them Your wisdom this hour—wisdom to govern right Father God. Oh, the fear of the Lord be upon them, the fear of the Lord upon them this morning. Oh, Father God You said that the hearts of the king is like a channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes. We call forth our harvest out of the government. Father those in these government positions that know You—stir in their hearts a desire to share the Word—the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not being afraid of their peers, but with a reverential fear of God they step through the doors You open for them. Father we pray for the labourers this morning, for these are the days of the open doors. Father You’re filling their mouths with the right words to speak—anointed to lift burdens and destroy yokes. Open doors with family members. Open doors with our co-workers. Open doors, with a word in season for this time. The labourers know what to say and when to say it. Oh, they’re sensitive to the Spirit—no missed appointments. No missed opportunities. Father, an alert labour force—they don’t miss opportunities. Oh, a revival in our neighbourhoods; cities; provinces; and Nation. A revival, a turning back to the truth of God’s Word. These are days of God’s glory being seen as the waters cover the sea. The Word running swiftly, penetrating the dark areas of men’s hearts. Ears to hear and eyes to see—they receive this morning. Ephesians 1:17 (TPT) – We pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to them the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know Him through their deepening intimacy with Him. (personalized) That they will come to the knowledge of You as their Saviour, their Redeemer—that You came to bring them life and that life more abundant. We pull down the spirit of pride, in the name of Jesus. We pull down every high thing that would exalt itself above the Word of God. We bind every work of darkness, in the name of Jesus—You will not influence the harvest. Oh, a turning and a returning of the prodigals, they’re coming to their senses Lord God. We bind that spirit of confusion. We uproot that spirit of deception and lies. Ha! Ha! Light comes and it is dispelling darkness, in the name of Jesus. We bind that spirit of fear—you will not hold the harvest back or stop the labourers from speaking. Many in the valley of decision are turning. Thank You Father.
- Oh, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Wisdom for the government and protection for the people. The labourers are going strong. They’re walking through the open doors; they’re sharing the gospel. The harvest is hearing and receiving.
- We plead the blood of Jesus over every nation this morning. We come against this virus and we say to the root, “Dry up, in Jesus name!” Father we thank You for preserving lives this morning. We ask You for mercy on the nations of the earth. Show Yourself strong on our behalf for the glory of the name of Jesus Christ.
