The following was taught and prayed through during our 9:30 a.m. family prayer time with Sue DeGroot
Luke 21:11 AMPC
There will be mighty and violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences (plagues: malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases which are deadly and devastating); and there will be sights of terror and great signs from heaven.
Colossians 4:3-6 AMPC
And at the same time pray for us also, that God may open a door to us for the Word (the Gospel), to proclaim the mystery concerning Christ (the Messiah) on account of which I am in prison; That I may proclaim it fully and make it clear [speak boldly and unfold that mystery], as is my duty. Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the very most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity. Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you].
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Psalm 91:5-7, 10-11
“Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you. …
9 If you make the LORD your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.”
As Believers we are to be the example in our faith of God’s Word regarding protection and health. Therefore, we are praying that we will be a bold light to our family members who are in fear regarding the Coronavirus.
