The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Terry Nyenhuis
1 Tim 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Psalm 27:1,13 NKJV
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
The same word for afraid is also used in Hosea 3:5 NKJV,
Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days.
The word wealth for fear (afraid) says: to be startled, to tremble, to stand in awe, to revere, to be amazed.
Here Israel will tremble because of God’s startling, sudden, amazing goodness showered upon them in the latter days!
This verse shows how positive the Hebrew concept of fear, trembling and reverence can be…”
Rom 2:4 NKJV
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
We are praying that Israel will see the riches of His Goodness He is showering upon them and return and repent and come back to Him.
