The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Terry Nyenhuis
1 Tim 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
We prayed towards those in Prominent positions – influential – celebrities.
- Watch your love walk – you never know who you’re rubbing shoulders with
- You need to be on your toes
- They can be incognito
- We are people of influence – influencing people of influence
Psalm 57:1-3,5, 7-11
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me!
For my soul trusts in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge,
Until these calamities have passed by.
2 I will cry out to God Most High,
To God who performs all things for me.
3 He shall send from heaven and save me;
He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah
God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.
7 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake, my glory!
Awake, lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing to You among the [a]nations.
10 For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens,
And Your truth unto the clouds.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
Let Your glory be above all the earth.
The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Perfect: (this is the same word for “perform” in Psalm 57:2)
-to end, finish, accomplish, to come to an end, cease, fulfill.
It refers to the completing, finishing and perfecting of God’s work in one’s life…God begins to work out His purposes in the life of His servant and continues His work until it is absolutely and completely done.
Footnote for 138:8-
This thought that God will perfect (fulfill) all of His promises and purposes in a man’s life is confirmed by Paul in Phil. 1:6 and Peter in 1 Peter 5:10.
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
1 Peter 5:10-11
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:6
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
– there is an exalting coming because of humility
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; 3 meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, 4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
A Prophetic Word spoken over Deborah by Dr. Mark Barclay – October 5, 2008
“The Lord says there’s a gift of healing that is freshly ignited in you. To lay hands on the sick that they would recover. Both in services and in the hospitals. I’m going to speak to you, my daughter, and you’re going to RUN FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. Those that you hear are suffering and hurting – THE COMPASSION -that’s why it gets you. It’s the COMPASSION of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The anointing will become more intense. Sure it will. But you will know that you know where to go and how to do it and I’m going to anoint you to do it. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.”
(Running from house to house – I believe this is happening in this season of online services)
