The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Sue DeGroot

1 Tim 2:1-4

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Prayed…

  • Father we declare that the knowledge of the glory of the Lord is filling the earth. Thank You that Your Word is running swiftly and is being glorified. It is running to the ends of the earth.
  • Thank You that the doors of utterance are being given to Your labourers. Thank You that they are hearing and they are responding to the call to be about the Father’s business.
  • Thank You that Your labourers are going out thoroughly equipped and they are going out in boldness. Thank You that they are filled with Your Spirit. Thank You that in the face of adversity they are proclaiming the good news. You desire that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore they fear not men’s faces but they obey You and know You are with them. Therefore we lift up the harvest of the nations before You in Jesus name.
  • Thank You that You are a merciful God. Thank You that we Your labourers are moved with compassion and we see the lost. Thank You that compassion moves us to action. We are compelled by love to go after the one.
    Father we lift up the underground church this day. Thank You that they are not ashamed of the gospel. They are fulfilling the great commission.
  • Lord You put eternity in men’s hearts. Therefore we ask for the rains of Your Spirit to soften men’s hearts that they would be receptive to the gospel. Thank You that we are busy with the task to be occupied. We are redeeming the time because the days are evil.
  • We call people loosed from the north, south, east and west to come to Eagles’ Nest Church. We call our family members loosed in Jesus name. Thank You that all the pews are full. Our Sunday Schools are full, our youth, the nursery and our Academy; we call them full in Jesus name. Thank You that here people are flourishing, here the five-fold ministry moves; here our roots go deep. Thank You for sound doctrine going forth in this house. Thank You that Your Spirit has freedom in our services. Thank You for the Spirit of oneness in this house. Thank You that this is our time; we are in a recompense era. The tide is turning and You have great things in store. Thank You that it will be known in the area that God is with us. Be magnified and be glorified here in this church.
  • Thank You that the pastor in this house is found faithful. Thank You that You are opening doors for Pastor Ric and Deborah that no man can shut. We declare their latter will be greater. Your favour surrounds them as a shield. Thank You that the resources from heaven are released to them. Thank You that the miraculous is taking place here. Thank You for financial transferrals, for land transferrals and deeds of the land are in our hands. Hallelujah.
  • You are the God of ‘show and tell’.
  • Father we lift up the nation of Canada and the leadership. Father what the enemy tried to bring about for destruction; You turn it around for good. Your plan and Your purpose shall stand. Thank You that this is a righteous nation and righteous voices are arising. Thank You Father that You are giving our leaders wisdom. Lead them and guide them. Father we pray that unprofitable Bills will come to nothing in Jesus name. Father You said if My people would humble themselves, pray, seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, that You would heal the land. Thank You Father that Canada is being healed in Jesus name.
  • Father we lift up Israel this morning. We declare shalom over Jerusalem. Thank You that the very truth of Your Son is continually being unearthed in that nation. It is causing the blind eyes to see that the Bible is true. We lift up the IDF and pray for protection over them. Thank You for the God given strategies. We declare strength and alertness this day. Thank You for that sound that is causing the enemy to flee in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Thank You for giving their Prime Minster wisdom, strategies and clarity. Thank You that Your hand is upon him and he is Your chosen man. Thank You for the fulfillment of all You called him to do.

Praying for a renewing of minds through the Word of God to bring down strongholds.

Rick Renner – Sparkling Gems
Two Kinds of Strongholds
May 30, 2016

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations.…
2 Corinthians 10:4,5

If you want to be free from every stronghold of the enemy in your life, you have to understand that there are two kinds of strongholds: rational and irrational. The rational strongholds are the more difficult to deal with — because they usually make sense!

Paul refers to these rational strongholds when he says, “Casting down imaginations….” The word “imaginations” is taken from the Greek word logismos, which is where we get the word “logic,” as in “logical thinking.” Thank God for a good, sound mind, but even a sound mind must be submitted to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. Otherwise, your mind will develop a stronghold of natural reasoning that starts to dictate all kinds of lies to your life. I call these rational strongholds.

The reason I call them rational strongholds is that they are strongholds in the mind that make sense! You see, your logical mind will always try to talk you out of obeying God. In fact, if you don’t take charge of your mind, it will begin to completely dominate and control your obedience to God. It will tell you that you can’t afford to obey the Lord and that it isn’t a good time to step out in faith. Your natural mind will come up with a whole host of logical reasons to explain why you shouldn’t do what the Spirit of God is telling you to do.

Second, there are irrational strongholds. These primarily have to do with completely unrealistic fears and worries, such as a fear of contracting a terminal disease, a fear of dying early in life, an abnormal fear of rejection, and so forth. These types of irrational strongholds in the mind, emotions, and imagination will normally play their course and then dissipate. But if harassing thoughts persist in your mind and insist on controlling you mentally and emotionally, you must deal with them straightforwardly with the Word of God.

In Second Corinthians 10:5, Paul says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Notice that Paul doesn’t say one thing about bringing the devil into captivity. Rather, he tells you to take every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

The devil tries to invade your life through lies that he plants in your brain. If you don’t take your thoughts captive, it will be just a matter of time before the devil starts using those lies to create mental and emotional strongholds for the purpose of keeping you in bondage. But if you take your thoughts captive, then your thoughts cannot take you captive!

Whether those strongholds are rational or irrational, you can take authority over them and cast them down! So quit listening to every ol’ lie that devil tries to sink into your brain, and start taking those thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Christ! Pull down every mental or emotional stronghold in your life with the supernatural weapons of warfare God has given you!

My Prayer for Today
Lord, help me to see any area of my life that is dominated by rational or irrational strongholds. Forgive me for allowing the devil to sink his lies into my mind, and help me now to uproot and cast down every one of his lies. I know that Your Word will renew my mind to think in accordance with You, so I am asking You today to help me make Your Word a priority in my life!
I pray this in Jesus’ name!

My Confession for Today
I boldly declare that my mind is free from the devil’s lies! I think God’s thoughts; I meditate on God’s Word; and my brain is spot-free from the rational and irrational strongholds that Satan would like to plant inside me. Because of God’s Word working in me, I am completely free!
I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Prayed…

  • Father we come to You in Jesus name. We lift up the body of Christ and we say it is time to renew Your mind. It is time to bring the rational and irrational thoughts into captivity. It is time to feed on the Word, it is time to meditate on the Word and renew your minds.
  • God said we have a sound mind. Therefore we lift up the body of Christ.
  • Thank You that the body of Christ knows Your voice and gives no place to the devil. They take no thought; they take no ideas or suggestions that are not of You. They are quick to respond.
  • Father we plead the blood of Jesus over their minds and say there is a loosening in Jesus name. Lord whatever the Spirit tells them to do they will do it.
  • Take no thought.
  • Thank You that the body of Christ is to know who they are in You.
  • We bind the spirit of deception in Jesus name. The devil came to steal, kill and destroy. We say renew Your mind with the Word of life in Jesus name.
  • Father we declare over every age group that they have the mind of Christ. Thank You that they are setting their minds on You and the things above. They are giving no place to the devil in Jesus name.
  • Hallelujah. Thank You Lord.

The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Joanne Summers

1 Tim 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Prayed…

Father grant unto them ears to hear and a willingness to do, in the name of Jesus. We ask for God’s man or woman being placed strategically in the upcoming elections. Evil and ungodly plans are being exposed. We say Godly men and women positioned within our government are rising up with a voice of righteousness to our government, in the name of Jesus. Father they’re not afraid of the faces of men. It’s not their agenda, they’re following God’s agenda. We don’t forget any office of our government—we lift up the federal, provincial, municipal, mayor’s offices, city council men and women. We lift up those who guard this nation – the police forces, military, border guards—we cover them under the blood of Jesus. Father we pray for judges and for a godly judicial system. We lift up those Father God who make the decisions where our universities and schools are concerned. Godly men and women positioned in those institutions, in the name of Jesus. • Labourers on fire for God—a fresh anointing of the Spirit. They’re sensitive to the Spirit—they hear and do, in Jesus’ name. They declare the Word and the Word is running swiftly throughout the earth. Oh yes, there are even divine connections between labourers—divine connections, in Jesus’ name.
  • Father we lift up Israel this morning. We say peace to Jerusalem. Peace and courage to Prime Minister Netanyahu and his cabinet, in Jesus’ name. Father that they know the times and the seasons –they need Your wisdom Father—grant unto them Your wisdom. Those with evil plans are being exposed—even those who may be in the government. Exposure this morning—things hidden, covert operations of the enemy, in the name of Jesus. There is a revival taking place in the land—there’s a shaking this morning. Eyes open, ears open—an awakened to the truth of God, in the name of Jesus. We cover that nation under the blood of Jesus. Oh Father provide for them, protect them—angelic protection.
  • Father we lift up this House. There’s a breaking out in every realm—spiritual, financial, in the name of Jesus. No more withhold. They come and they are taught and some go, and some stay. This is a teaching House—a House where preparations take place. Wisdom for Pastor Ric and Deborah—fresh wisdom this morning. More details of the plans are being revealed to them, in the name of Jesus. Oh this congregation is on fire, in Jesus’ name. That piece of property has already been reserved—we declare ownership, in the name of Jesus. Debt free, to the glory of God! Our testimony shall be even greater than the one before. It shall be noised abroad all the good God does to this House and this congregation. God is on display—it’s all about God’s glory. We thank You Father God.

Matthew 1:20-23 (AMPC) – 20 But as he was thinking this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary [as] your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of (from, out of) the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]. 22 All this took place that it might be fulfilled which the Lord had spoken through the prophet, 23 behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel—which, when translated, means, God with us.

(WW) John 12:13 name, onoma – Strong’s #3686 – in general the word signifies the name or term by which a person or thing is called. However, it was quite common both in Hebrew and Hellenistic Greek to use onoma for all that the name implies, such as rank or authority, character, reputation, representative.

The name Jesus is a transliteration of the Hebrew word Joshua, “Jehovah is salvation or “is the Saviour”. This was Jesus personal name to show us what He would be and what He would do. After His death on the cross His name took on a whole new dimension – His name now talks about the power and superiority of His name. With His resurrection Jesus also took on the title of Lord (Romans 10:9). The title Lord means “having power or authority, supreme in power”.

The Father was so pleased with Jesus that He gave a name far above any other name in existence. A name is an important identifier—a name means something.

Philippians 2:9-11 (AMPC) – 9 Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, 10 That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11 (MSG) – 9-11 Because of that obedience, God lifted Him high and honoured Him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that He is the Master of all, to the glorious honour of God the Father.

When we use the name of Jesus or we declare Jesus Christ as Lord over anything, we are calling on all the power, superiority, glory that is in Him to change situation/circumstance or assist that person/persons:

Jesus would save – zozo #4982: to save, heal, cure, preserve, keep safe and sound, rescue from danger or destruction, deliver. Zozo saves from physical death by healing and from spiritual death by forgiving sin and its effects zozo in primitive cultures is translated simply “to give new life” and “to cause to have a new heart.”

Philippians 4:23 (WW) Jesus, Iesous – #2424 Greek translation of the Hebrew Yeshua – “He shall save” which is the shorter form of Yehoshua which means “Yahweh is salvation”

As the Church we need to realize that the name of Jesus/Lord is a powerful weapon that we have been given the right as believers to use over EVERY thing that would come against us, or families etc. That is our prayer this morning, that the Church would come to a revelation of Jesus’ name. Romans 10:13 (NKJV) – For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. This is not just salvation in the terms of repentance and eternal life, but salvation in everything that pertains to our life.

Prayed…

  • Father we thank You for that name that’s above every name—Jesus Christ the Anointed One and His anointing. Glory be to that name. Father open the eyes of Your people that they may realize the power that is in that name. There is nothing greater than the name of Jesus, Yeshua. Awaken Church to this knowledge, there is wisdom in this knowledge.
  • We lift up the name of Jesus over the harvest. They are coming to a place of knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord. We lift up the name of Jesus over every sickness and disease—over cancer, over depression, over heart disease—every internal disease there is. Over addictions: alcohol, sexual addictions, drug addiction, we lift up the name of Jesus. We declare that name brings healing and deliverance. We lift up the name of Jesus over every circumstance where the enemy has planned destruction against people. We lift up the name of Jesus over those in mental institutions—we say peace, peace comes to the tormented minds. We bind that spirit of oppression and depression in the name of Jesus. Those struggling financially, feeling overwhelmed, we declare breakthroughs in the name of Jesus. Supernatural financial releases in the name of Jesus. The name, the name, the name—we exalt the name of Jesus this morning over everything that is contrary to God’s Word. Jesus, Emmanuel—God is with us always; Jesus You are the Lamb of God slain for the sins of men; Jesus, let Israel know that You are the King of the Jews; Jesus, You are the Bread of Life—we feed and we are filled, life abundant; Jesus, You are the Wonderful Counsellor—You guide and lead us into all truth; Jesus, You are the Mighty God—You are our Hero; Jesus, You are the Everlasting Father—for all eternity, You are the Prince of Peace; Jesus, You are the Alpha and the Omega—the First and the Last—the Before all and the End of all. You are Jehovah Jireh our Provider; You are Jehovah Rapha our Healer; You are Jehovah Raah the Lord our Shepherd—we shall not want; You are Jehovah Tsidkenu our Righteousness; You are Jehovah Shammah the Lord is there. Jesus, we thank You for Your presence. Father we thank You for that name that is above every name. We have sent forth that name this morning and we know that things are changing and Father, we give You thanks. Blessed be the name of our Lord Jesus Christ this morning. We ascribe all honour and glory to You. We bow before that name this morning and we say Jesus Christ be Lord of our lives. Thank You Lord.

The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Sue DeGroot

Prayed…

  • Father we lift up our voices and we worship You this morning. Father we declare over Canada this day ‘make a joyful shout to the LORD all you lands. Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God. It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves.’ [Psalm 100:1-3]
  • Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
  • Thank You that there is an awakening, Your glory is being revealed. Thank You that the glory is causing men’s hears to turn. Thank You that there is an impact of Your Spirit on this nation. We declare those in authority are humbling themselves and are repenting.
  • We pray the fear of the Lord in this nation. Turn from your perverse ways, turn and do what is right. Fill them with Your wisdom and give them revelation that they know they need to repent and change from their wicked ways. We declare wickedness is being uprooted in Jesus name.
  • We pray that our Prime Minister will have an encounter with You. Thank You that there is a turning in his way of thinking in Jesus name. We lift up Canada and those in authority in this nation. Thank You that our Prime Minister is coming out of the web of deception in Jesus name. We declare the voice of righteousness is heard in this nation.
  • We lift up Eagles’ Nest Church and we declare the tide is turning. We declare it is a recompense era. We declare Lord that what the devil stole is being restored. Blessed are they who believe; there shall be a fulfillment to this house and as individuals. It is all coming to pass.
  • Thank You that You are perfecting that which concerns Pastor Ric and Deborah. There is no lack in this tithing house and we are under an open heaven. You are pouring out such blessing that there is not room enough to contain it, and all nations we see and hear all the good You are doing to Eagles’ Nest Church. Thank You that You are glorified in this church. Thank You that the people are coming, finances are loosed, buildings are loosed and Your favour surrounds us as a shield. Thank You for clarity to Pastor Ric. Thank You that you are filling our leaders with wisdom and You are guiding them in Jesus name. It is a 100-fold season.
  • We lift up Israel and we declare shalom over her. Thank You that Your hand is upon this nation. Thank You for their Prime Minister. Thank You that You are leading and guiding him. He is strong and of good courage and does not fear. Thank You that he has the heart of David and the wisdom of Solomon. Thank You that he is Your appointed man. No weapon formed against him shall prosper in Jesus’ name.
  • Thank You that the plans, the plots and schemes of the enemy are being uncovered this day. You are the mighty One of Israel. Hallelujah, praise the Lord.

Joel 2:12-32 – 12 “Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” 13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. 14 Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him— A grain offering and a drink offering For the LORD your God? 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; 16 Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation,
Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room. 17 Let the priests, who minister to the LORD,
Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’” 18 Then the LORD will be zealous for His land,
And pity His people. 19 The LORD will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations. 20 “But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.” 21 Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done marvelous things! 22 Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. 23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. 24 The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. 25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,
The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. 26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. 27 Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the LORD your God And there is no other.
My people shall never be put to shame. 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. 30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
32 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the LORD has said, Among the remnant whom the LORD calls.
Rom 10:13-15 – 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

We are praying for the harvest of the nations to repent, to call upon the name of the Lord and be saved.

Prayed…

  • Father we come to You in Jesus name. We lift up the global harvest in Jesus name. Thank You Father that Your people are Your voice, Your feet, Your hands on the earth and we are declaring the gospel of Your salvation.
  • Thank You that You confirm it with signs and wonders.
  • Thank You that the labourers are awakened and know the time and the season we are in. They go and are busy about the Father’s business.
  • Thank You that Your Spirit is poured out on the nations and is softening men’s hearts. Thank You that the veil of blindness is removed in Jesus name.
  • Thank You for the harvest and the labourers. Thank You that it is time, it is time, it is time! Thank You Father it is the time of restoration, it is the time for those who turned away from you to return in Jesus’ name. Just like the prodigal they’re coming to their senses.
  • Thank You that the labourers are praying and seeking Your face. Thank You that the people are set free in Jesus name. It is affecting every age; it is affecting every walk of life. Thank You for transformed lives. The greatest ingathering is about to take place and it is unprecedented, it is monumental. Pastors are ready for the increase coming in.
  • Thank You for sound doctrine preaching that is going forth in Jesus name because there is only one way. He is the way, He is the truth and He is the life. THAT is the name they call, THAT is the Son they believe in!
  • We declare Your kingdom come in power and in demonstration. Yes You are a merciful God.
  • The earth is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God. Thank You that You gave us the ministry of reconciliation. Thank You that we diffuse the fragrance of the Lord everywhere we go.
  • We declare ‘seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord and He will have mercy on him; and to our God. For He will abundantly pardon.’ [Isa 55:6-7]
  • We declare Your Word is running swiftly and is being glorified. You desire all men come to the knowledge of the truth.
  • We speak to the mountains of resistance to the gospel. Those mountains of pride, of deception, of rebellion and deafness we say be removed in Jesus name!
  • We bind the spirit of unbelief in Jesus. We bind the spirit of religion in Jesus Name.
  • Father thank You that as Your gospel is being proclaimed the hearers chooses life, they choose salvation.
  • Hallelujah, praise the Lord.
  • Thank You Lord for the blood of the Lamb.

Prayer Summary for January 23, 2018

By | January Prayer Directives | No Comments

The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Terry Nyenhuis

Excerpt from “They Told Me Their Stories” by Tommy Welchel
Dedicated to the Youth of this World

The Azusa Street Experience was as much about what God was doing through TEENAGERS and YOUNG PEOPLE as it was about leaders such as William Seymour and Frank Bartleman….
The stories contained in this book are about YOUNG PEOPLE performing miracles, excercising God’s gifts and witnessing about God’s power…
These are stories about YOUNG PEOPLE being a vital part of one of the greatest outpourings of God’s Presence in history…
If you are a TEENAGER or YOUNG PERSON … God can and wants to use YOU now not sometime in the future when YOU “grow up”…
…They were touched and used by God when they were as young as 12 and 13 years old …
…God wants YOUNG PEOPLE to know He can use them in a mighty way just as He did a century ago…

Excerpt from Kenneth Copeland’s Prophetic Word for 2017:

“Notable Miracles… but watch the children. Watch for the children coming forth with miracle-working power manifest around them. And they are just children. And they will be just children. And I’m not talking about the 15-20-year-olds…of course they’re involved. But saith the Lord watch the little ones. A child shall lead them.”

We are praying towards this.

God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11) and neither is the devil.
The same attacks the enemy tries on us is the same that come to Pastor Ric and Deborah – but usually in a multiplied fashion.

Isaiah 61:1-11
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins,
They shall raise up the former desolations,
And they shall repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.
5 Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks,
And the sons of the foreigner
Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 But you shall be named the priests of the LORD,
They shall call you the servants of our God.
You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles,
And in their glory you shall boast.
7 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,
And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.
Therefore in their land they shall possess double;
Everlasting joy shall be theirs.
8 “For I, the LORD, love justice;
I hate robbery for burnt offering;
I will direct their work in truth,
And will make with them an everlasting covenant.
9 Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles,
And their offspring among the people.
All who see them shall acknowledge them,
That they are the posterity whom the LORD has blessed.”
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

In verse 3 – praise means: a song or hymn of praise instead of a heavy, burdened or failing spirit; thanksgiving

Heaviness means: feeble, obscure, somewhat dark, wax dim; dull, colourless, failing, weak; especially of a wick burning with a very little flame almost gone out; of eyes dim; of a spirit broken down

Hebrews 12:1-3 Amp
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, 2 [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].
3 Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Weight: a mass (as bending or bulging by its load), burden, hindrance, bulk, encumbrance, protuberance; a snag, something jutting out

Which so easily besets: a COMPETITOR THWARTING a racer in EVERY DIRECTION, SKILLFULLY SURROUNDING (besetting)

Run: in haste, to exert oneself, strive hard, to spend one’s strength in performing or attaining something, to incur extreme peril which it requires the exertion of all one’s effort to overcome

Patience: (a bearing up under until you win), cheerful endurance, constancy, continuance, steadfastness
*IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IT IS THE CHARACTERISTIC OF A MAN WHO IS NOT
SWERVED FROM HIS DELIBERATE PURPOSE AND HIS LOYALTY TO FAITH AND PIETY BY EVEN THE GREATEST TRIALS AND SUFFERINGS.

Race: a place of ASSEMBLY, conflict, contention, a battle, an action at law, trial

Set before us: to be placed before the eyes, to lie in sight, to be APPOINTED, DESTINED, to be there, be present, AT HAND

Kenneth Copeland has prophesied 2018 as THE YEAR OF THE HOLY GHOST AND FIRE!

We are praying for Pastor Ric And Deborah and Eagles Nest Church. We are “stoking” the fire in prayer, seeing that “the wood is in order” (preparation and unity), so the FIRE WILL BURN HOT, STRONG AND WON’T BE QUENCHED!

Prayed…

  • Father we thank You for Your Word. We enter Your gates with thanksgiving…. Psalm 100:4-5. Father we pray for all men and those who sit in seats of authority this morning. We ask for a move of the Spirit o God across the nations of the earth. The Spirit of God piercing the hearts of men—softening the hearts of men. We declare, they’re receptive to the Spirit and they’re receptive to the Word, in Jesus name. Thank You Holy Spirit for the work You’re doing this morning in the hearts of men. We bind every work of darkness. We pull down everything that would exalt itself over the Word coming to these men and women. In the name of Jesus there’s a loosing taking place—those trapped by Satan—many escapees. Yes they’re escaping the trap of the enemy. We say, loosed in the name of Jesus. The ungodly influences of the enemy is being loosed off our government in the name of Jesus. We bring our government before You this morning Father God—our Prime Minister and his cabinet; the federal, provincial, municipal and local governments—mayor’s offices; city council men and women. We lift up our judges and the judicial system and every institution that brings influence to the people of this nation. We lift up those who guard this nation: our police forces; our military forces; the border guards—we cover them under the blood of Jesus. We declare in the name of Jesus that this nation shall remain free and God shall have dominion from sea to sea. We cover these men and women’s minds with the blood of Jesus. We declare, the enemy doesn’t influence their minds so they are harmful to this nation. The blood—we cover every square inch of this nation with the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against us shall prosper.
  • We lift up Israel and we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We ask You Father God to grant unto the Prime Minister and the Knesset the wisdom to do what is right—God’s wisdom. They discern the times and the seasons according to the Spirit of God. The blood, the blood, the blood covers this nation—it penetrates, nothing is left untouched by the blood. We cover those who guard her under the blood of Jesus. Grant unto them insight, revelation—hidden things are coming to them, the hidden things of the enemy is revealed. They sidestep the traps that have been set in the name of Jesus. Awaken unto righteousness, Israel!
  • No plans of men—the plans of God shall stand for Canada. The plans of God shall stand for Israel. The plans of God shall stand for the nations of the earth. We declare this in the name of Jesus.
  • Labourers arise!! The fields are white, the harvest is ready—put in the sickle and reap the harvest in the name of Jesus. Ha! Ha! Yes an unstoppable army of labourers fully armed, fully armed! The weapons of their warfare are mighty in God to the pulling down of every stronghold. Ha! Yes, the Word is in their mouths. Their faith is in God. They’re empowered by the Spirit, their victorious! The word that they speak runs swiftly throughout the earth—it touches hearts—dividing soul and spirit.
  • We cover the harvest under the blood of Jesus. We bind every work of darkness that would try to hinder them from coming. We apply the blood and the enemy can’t cross it.
  • Eagles’ Nest take your place, take your place—do not look to the right or to the left, but look to God who knows the way you need to take. Every word spoken over this Church shall come to pass in the name of Jesus. We bind every hindering spirit. We loose the angelic forces to make a way and pull down every high thing that would try to stop us. Wisdom for Pastor Ric and Deborah. They know the times and seasons because their ears are attuned to God and His Spirit. We call forth that land. We call forth the harvest that will come to this congregation—we call forth those that will merge and converge with this Church. We say all needs are met according to God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Overflow! Net breaking, boat sinking—lacking for nothing, in Jesus name. We have all we need for the work of the ministry. Cyrus’ are coming in. The camels are coming—fully laden. Fear not for the Lord Your God goes before You and He makes the way because it’s for His honour and glory.

Romans 3:10-12 (ESV) – 10 None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; 11 no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.

Psalm 14:1-3 (AMP) – The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds; there is no one who does good. 2 The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there are any who understand (act wisely), who [truly] seek after God, [longing for His wisdom and guidance].

Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NKJV) – For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (AMP) – He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].

  • Dictionaries define “righteousness” as “behaviour that is morally justifiable or right.” Such behaviour is characterized by accepted standards of morality, justice, virtue, or uprightness. The Bible’s standard of human righteousness is God’s own perfection in every attribute, every attitude, every behaviour, and every word. Thus, God’s laws, as given in the Bible, both describe His own character and constitute the plumb line by which He measures human righteousness.
  • Jesus expresses righteousness as conformity to the will of God.
  • The Greek New Testament word for “righteousness” primarily describes conduct in relation to others, especially with regards to the rights of others in business, in legal matters, and beginning with relationship to God. It is contrasted with wickedness, the conduct of the one who, out of gross self-centeredness, neither reveres God nor respects man. The Bible describes the righteous person as just or right, holding to God and trusting in Him.

Psalm 33:18-22 (AMP) – 18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], on those who hope [confidently] in His compassion and lovingkindness, 19 to rescue their lives from death and keep them alive in famine. 20 We wait [expectantly] for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. 21 For in Him our heart rejoices, because we trust [lean on, rely on, and are confident] in His holy name. 22 Let Your [steadfast] lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion as we have hoped in You.

1 John 2:29 (AMP) – If you know that He is absolutely righteous, you know [for certain] that everyone who practices righteousness [doing what is right and conforming to God’s will] has been born of Him.

1 John 3:7 (AMP) – Little children (believers, dear ones), do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who practices righteousness [the one who strives to live a consistently honourable life—in private as well as in public—and to conform to God’s precepts] is righteous, just as He is righteous.

1 John 5:18 (AMP) – We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

  • On the cross He exchanged our sin for His perfect righteousness so that we could one day stand before God and He would see not our sin, but the holy righteousness of the Lord Jesus. This means that we are made righteous in the sight of God; that is, that we are accepted as righteous and treated as righteous by God on account of what the Lord Jesus did on the cross—He was made sin; we are made righteousness.

We stand in Your presence this morning Father and we are declaring that “WE ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD. Holy Spirit You are our helper and we ask You to help us to walk in a manner that is pleasing to our God.

Prayed…

  • We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We are the redeemed of the Lord and we are saying so. Our cry this morning is, help us Holy Spirit to walk in the righteousness of God which is in Christ Jesus. We are the Church and we have an ear to hear and we are obedient, in the name of Jesus. Father God we pray according to Your Word that brings the change.

Father awaken us to Your righteousness—create in us a clean heart that we might not sin against You. Father we pray this morning that we may learn to recognize and treasure what is excellent [identifying the best, and distinguishing moral differences], and that we may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ [actually living lives that lead others away from sin]; filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God [so that His glory may be both revealed and recognized]. Father You have chosen us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love…You have made us acceptable in the Beloved, Christ Jesus. In Christ we have redemption through His blood, forgiveness of our sins through the riches of His grace. Grant unto us Father the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ Jesus. That the eyes of our understand would be enlightened through Your Word and by Your Spirit. That we would know the exceeding greatness of Your power which comes by and through Your Spirit that dwells in us richly. For by Your grace through faith, by the blood of Jesus Christ we have been saved, redeemed, and made right. We recognize that it is not by our works, but by Your Spirit working in us as we surrender and obey Your Word—being lead of the Spirit and not of our flesh. We declare this morning according to Your Word that we are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before the foundation of the world that we would walk in them. Father grant unto us according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in our inner man. That we may walk circumspectly before You in holiness and righteousness. Father we make a decisive this morning to dedicate our bodies [presenting all our members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to You, which is our reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. With the help of Your Holy Spirit we will not be conformed to this world [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but we will be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of our mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude] that come from Your Word and by revelation of Your Spirit; so that we may prove [for ourselves] what is the good and acceptable and [perfect will of God, even the things which are good and acceptable and perfect [in Your sight for us]. You have begun the work in us and You will complete it until the day of Christ’s return. So this morning we, the people of God declare, “We are the righteousness of God” and we are being changed into the image of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank You Father. We declare all these things in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen

And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving, “for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue.”

Those Who Minister Out of Their Abundance
November 18, 2016 -Sparkling Gems by Rick Renner

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. — Luke 8:2,3

When our ministry purchased a large facility in the city of Moscow, we had one year to pay off the entire building, or it would revert to the hands of the seller. We had paid a very large deposit, and by faith we were believing to completely pay off the balance on time so we wouldn’t lose our total investment.

The deadline for paying off the balance approached. The Moscow church and our ministry partners had given generously, but we still lacked what we needed to finish retiring the debt on the building.

It was exactly at this time that God spoke to a pastor of a large church in the United States and told him, “You have a lot of money in your church bank account right now, and Rick Renner and his ministry are believing for the finances to pay off their building. What good is your money in this account when they need it in Moscow? If you’ll give what I tell you to give, I’ll multiply it to you more times than you can ever begin to imagine.”

In obedience to the Lord, this pastor met with his board of directors, who unanimously voted to give a gift of $700,000 for the Moscow Good News Church building. They had no idea that this was the exact balance owed on the building. The pastor purchased a plane ticket and was soon on his way to Moscow. The following Sunday, he stood on the platform in our auditorium and said, “The Lord has sent me here to give you a $700,000 check for your new church facility!” Then he handed us the check, not knowing that he was handing the exact amount needed to completely pay off the balance on the building.

What words could ever be sufficient to express how grateful we were to this pastor and his church for this phenomenal act of generosity? And how can we ever appropriately thank all the partners who have sowed their finances for so many years into the work of our ministry?

My wife and I and our team may be the ones who are doing the actual work on the front lines of the ministry, but we can only do that work because of the resources entrusted to us by faithful partners. When we all stand before Jesus to be rewarded for what we have done for Him in this life, our partners will be as richly rewarded as those of us who worked on the front lines, for they financially empowered us to do the job!

You see, even though my wife and our team are anointed to lead this work, there would be no television outreach if we had no partners to pay for it. There would be no church-planting, church-strengthening organization if there was no financial support to underwrite the costs involved in this work. There would be no missions support for pastors and evangelists in these less fortunate nations if there were no people who designated monies for this special purpose. Although we are called and anointed to lead this thrilling work, others must be just as called and anointed to support it with their finances. That is why I say that all of us are truly working together to see God’s purposes for this ministry accomplished.

I could write an entire book about the miraculous provision we have seen God supply for our ministry over the years. But when I stand back and review the times God has come through in miraculous ways to empower us financially, one thing is clear: His supernatural provision has primarily been delivered through the hands of men.

This is the principal way God provides financial support for the work of the ministry. He uses people — those who work very hard at their jobs, who earn a living at their profession, who believe Him for promotions and bonuses, and who love Him so much that they consecrate a certain portion of their income or assets for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

God also used people to supply money for the expenses of Jesus’ ministry, although money to pay taxes was once miraculously provided through the mouth of a fish (see Matthew 17:27). In Luke 8:2 and 3, we find that Jesus had ministry partners who gave of their own substance to support His ministry while He was on the earth. Those verses say, “And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, and Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.”

Notice that Luke 8:3 says that these women “…ministered unto him of their substance.” The word “ministered” is the Greek word diakoneo. As noted earlier (see August 21), the word diakoneo comes from the Greek word diakonos, the Greek word for a servant whose primary responsibility is to serve food and wait on tables. It presents a picture of a waiter or waitress who painstakingly attends to the needs, wishes, and desires of his or her client. It was these servants’ supreme task to professionally please clients; therefore, the servants served honorably, pleasurably, and in a fashion that made the people they waited on feel as if they were nobility.

Luke uses this word to picture the attitude of the women who served Jesus by financially giving to Jesus’ ministry. These women believed it was their God-given assignment to painstakingly attend to the needs, wishes, and desires of Jesus. Their supreme task was to provide what He and His disciples needed to fulfill their ministry without hindrance. Furthermore, the tense used in the original Greek indisputably means that these women did this task consistently and regularly; in other words, they habitually donated money to Jesus’ ministry. They were faithful partners on whom Jesus could rely.

The verse goes on to say that these women ministered unto Him of their “substance.” The word “substance” is the Greek word huparchontos, which is the word for goods, possessions, or property. The word huparchontos would only be used to describe individuals of great wealth who possessed large fortunes or enormous assets. This lets us know that these were wealthy women.

The King James Version says these women “…ministered unto him of their substance.” But in Greek, it actually says out of their substance. This implies that these very wealthy women may have donated funds out of the income they earned on properties they owned.

But precisely who were these wealthy women who supported Jesus’ ministry? Let’s look very carefully at Luke 8:2,3 to see what we can find out about these women whom God used to financially support Jesus’ ministry.

1. ‘Certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities’

First, Luke 8:2 tells us about “…certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities.…” This was an unnamed group of women whom Jesus had healed from various sicknesses or delivered from demonic powers. Afterward, these women supported His ministry with their financial substance.

Notice that this verse says these women “…had been healed of evil spirits.…” The word “healed” is the Greek word therapeuo, an old Greek word from which we get the word therapy. This carries the idea of repeated actions, such as a patient who visits a physician over and over until the desired cure is obtained. This seems to suggest that these women had been so severely demonized that although they were helped when they first came to Jesus, they had to keep coming back again and again until, finally, they were completely freed. It may have been Jesus’ constant, tender, compassionate attention that caused them to have such grateful hearts, producing in these women a firm commitment to support His ministry with their finances.

The verse also says that they were healed of “infirmities.” The word “infirmities” is the Greek word astheneia, which emphatically depicts physical frailties, weaknesses, sicknesses, or a state of ill health. The word “healed” (therapeuo) is applied both to the women’s deliverance from demonic spirits and to their freedom from illnesses. Just as the Greek suggests frequent visits were made to Jesus before they were finally and completely delivered from demon powers, it also implies that these women made recurring visits to Jesus before they found total relief from their physical maladies. The use of this word therapeuo lets us know, then, that it can sometimes take time before a healing is completely manifested in a person’s life.

No wonder these women were such avid financial partners with Jesus’ ministry! It was through His compassionate touch that they were set free from demons and restored to full health!

It is simply a fact that the best partners in the world are those whose lives have been changed by one’s ministry. These women are vivid examples of people with grateful hearts who want to do what they can financially so the ministry that helped them can reach out and touch others’ lives as well.

2. ‘Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils’

After mentioning the first unnamed group of female supporters, Luke now gives the first recognizable name in this group of women. He says in verse 2, “…Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.”

Many tales have been told about Mary Magdalene working in the prostitution business before she met Jesus. However, there isn’t a single New Testament source that records Mary Magdalene as a former prostitute. One thing is clear, though: She was possessed with an entire infestation of demons before Jesus touched her life. Both Luke 8:2 and Mark 16:9 affirm that she had been delivered of seven demons.

When Luke tells us of Mary, he identifies her as one “…out of whom went seven devils.” The Greek word for the phrase “out of whom went” is exerchomai, a compound of the word ex, meaning out, as to make an exit, and the word erchomai, meaning to go. But when these are compounded together, forming the word exerchomai, it takes on the meaning to go out, to drive out, or even to escape.

The word exerchomai implies that these demons may have been so entrenched in Mary that Jesus had to literally drive them out of her. It is possible that when these seven spirits left her body, they literally fled in order to escape the fierce pressure Jesus was exercising on them. Once they were gone, Mary was freed.

The Bible has no concrete record of Mary’s deliverance from these seven demons. However, it does let us know she was so thankful for what Jesus had done for her that she remained committed to Him to the very end of His ministry. Mary was present at the crucifixion (John 19:25). After the crucifixion when Jesus’ body was being prepared for burial, Mary was among those who prepared His body for burial (Matthew 27:61; Mark 15:47; Luke 23:55). She was among the first to see the empty tomb (John 20:1), and she was the first to see Jesus after His resurrection (John 20:13-17). Finally, she was the first to preach that Jesus had been resurrected from the dead (John 20:18).

Evidently Mary Magdalene was also a wealthy woman who used her money to financially support Jesus’ ministry, for she is listed in Luke 8:2,3 along with the other well-to-do women who gave out of their assets to support Jesus’ ministry.

3. ‘Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward’

As Luke continues to name the affluent women who financially supported Jesus’ ministry, he tells us next of “…Joanna, the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward…” (v. 3).

Luke gives us very important insight into this Joanna by informing us that she was the wife of Chuza, who was the “steward” of Herod. The word “steward” is the Greek word epitropos. This word signifies a person who has been entrusted with the guardianship or supervision of another person’s belongings. This was no low-level servant; rather, Chuza was a high-level dignitary who had authority to make decisions on behalf of Herod in regard to his personal fortunes. One of the rare uses of this word in the Greek Old Testament Septuagint is where it is used to describe Joseph’s oversight of Potiphar’s household.

The fact that Chuza held such a prominent position in Herod’s household tells us that he was highly educated and was accustomed to managing massive sums of money. As the chief manager of Herod’s personal fortune, Chuza served as the king’s chief adviser regarding his personal financial matters. No doubt, a man in this position had many opportunities to increase his own personal wealth as well, for he lived in the atmosphere of affluence and had many high-ranking political connections as Herod’s steward. Some have speculated that Chuza may have been the nobleman of John 4:46-53 whose son was healed by Jesus.

Chuza’s wife was Joanna — a woman whose life had been dramatically touched, affected, and changed by Jesus. If Chuza was the nobleman of John 4:46-53, as some suggest, it is easy to imagine how grateful Joanna would have been to Jesus for saving her child from death. Certainly a person so impacted would want to use her fortune to make sure others could receive the same touch of God.

Bible doesn’t tell us how Joanna made her first connection with Jesus, but it apparently changed her life. After that encounter, she saw it as part of her responsibility to give of her personal substance to financially support Jesus’ ministry. Joanna was also with Mary Magdalene and the other women who visited and discovered the empty tomb after Jesus’ resurrection (see Luke 24:10), which lets us know that she was faithful to Jesus to the very end.

4. ‘Susanna, and many others’

This is the only reference to Susanna in the New Testament, and we know nothing more of her, except that she ministered to Jesus out of her substance. This implies that she was another wealthy woman who used her personal resources to support Jesus’ ministry.

Susanna is listed with “many others” who supported the ministry of Jesus. The word “many” is from the Greek word polus, which means very many and speaks of a great quantity. So in addition to these women whom Luke specifically names, there were also many others who supported Jesus faithfully with their personal finances. These were givers who considered it their responsibility, their service, and their assignment to make sure the needs of Jesus’ growing ministry were financially supplied.

We rightly focus on Jesus and the great works He did while on earth. But think of the reward that is laid up in Heaven for Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna, and all the others who gave of their substance so that those life-changing meetings could take place! Today these individuals are experiencing rich rewards because they gave of their personal income to help advance the ministry of Jesus. They were His ministry partners — and in Heaven, they share in the rewards for the results reaped by Jesus’ ministry.

Prayer -There is a glory arising upon the Church that is going to attract ‘kings,’ whose purpose it is to finance Kingdom purposes.

Prayed…

  • Father we come to You in the name of Jesus and we lift up kings, those people of wealthy substance who get stirred up by You. They are healed, delivered, set free by You and they see it as their responsibility to finance the kingdom of God.
  • Thank You that they hear about You; they see You and they are touched by You. Their lives are changed and they have thankful, grateful hearts. They finance Your kingdom purposes in Jesus name.
  • Yes the kings are coming to Your glory. Thank You that as they sow into Your kingdom their sown seed is multiplied to them.

The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Terry Nyenhuis

Psalm 133 Amp
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil [of consecration] poured on the head,
Coming down on the beard,
Even the beard of Aaron,
Coming down upon the edge of his [priestly] robes [consecrating the whole body].
3 It is like the dew of [Mount] Hermon
Coming down on the hills of Zion;
For there the LORD has commanded the blessing: life forevermore.

Unity is the Hebrew word Yachad and means: a unit, unitedly, alike, likewise, together, all together in one place, wholly altogether, mutually with one another

Gen. 11:6 Amp
And the LORD said, “Behold, they are one [unified] people, and they all have the same language. This is only the beginning of what they will do [in rebellion against Me], and now no evil thing they imagine they can do will be impossible for them.
When understood as being unified for good – nothing we purpose to do will be withheld from us

Is 41:10-20 Amp
‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you;
I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’
11 “Indeed, all those who are angry with you will be put to shame and humiliated;
Those who strive against you will be as nothing and will perish.
12 “You shall search for those who quarrel with you, but will not find them;
They who war against you will be as nothing, as nothing at all.
13 “For I the LORD your God keep hold of your right hand; [I am the Lord],
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’
14 “Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel;
I will help you,” declares the LORD, “and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
15 “In fact, I have made of you a new, sharp [a]threshing implement with sharp edges;
You will thresh the mountains and crush them,
And make the hills like chaff.
16 “You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away,
And a high wind will scatter them;
But you will rejoice in the LORD,
You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 “The poor and needy are seeking water, but there is none;
Their tongues are parched with thirst.
I, the LORD, will answer them Myself;
I, the God of Israel, will not neglect them.
18 “I will open rivers on the barren heights
And springs in the midst of the valleys;
I will make the wilderness a reed-pool of water
And the dry land springs of water.
19 “I will put the cedar in the wilderness,
The acacia, the myrtle and the olive tree;
I will place the juniper in the desert
Together with the box tree and the cypress,
20 So that they may see and know,
And consider and understand together,
That the hand of the LORD has done this,
That the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Vs 15,16 – speaking of the prayer ministry at Eagles Nest (Is 52:8 – the watchmen- pray-ers – lifting up their voice – one voice- seeing eye to eye)

Micah 2:12-13 Amp
“I shall most certainly assemble all of you, O Jacob;
I shall surely gather the remnant of Israel.
I shall bring them together like sheep in the fold [multiplying the nation];
Like a flock in the midst of its pasture.
The place will swarm with many people and hum loudly with noise.
13 “The [a]breaker [the Messiah, who opens the way] shall go up before them [liberating them].
They will break out, pass through the gate and go out;
So their King goes on before them,
The LORD at their head.”

Eph 4:1-6
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you[a] all.
Unity in Greek means: oneness, unanimity, agreement

Phil 1:27-28
Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation,[a] and that from God.

This verse means:

  • to persist, to keep ones standing, to be stationary, to persevere together, as opposed to many divisions or parts
  • to agree
  • to wrestle in company with, to seek jointly, labour with, to strive together for at the same time with another, to help, assist

We are praying for Pastor Ric and Deborah and Eagles Nest Church

  • that we walk in unity with Pastor and the vision being laid out
  • with each other as we labor together, as pray-ers, all heading in the same direction seeing “eye to eye”.

The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Pastor Ric Borozny

Prayed…

  • We lift up our government: Federal, provincial, municipal, judicial including our supreme court.
  • We lift up Israel, the Prime Minister and his cabinet. We lift up our Prime Minister and his cabinet. We pray the Lord’s will be done. Father we pray for godly men and women who sit in seats of authority in our nation and Israel. Father I pray that the veil of deception of Islam be removed. I thank You Father. I thank You Father for wisdom coming to our civil leaders and those in authority. The eyes of their understanding being opened. I thank You Father for the gospel ringing with clarity in every level of our nation. I thank You Father that Christians aren’t ashamed of the Word of God for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes. Stretch out You hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.
  • Father we pray for the harvest here. Your desire is for all men to be saved. Labours are being sent. The harvest is white and ready and prepared to be reaped. We thank You for the loyal and obedient labourers this morning. Father You’re not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. I thank You for the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit in the hearts of men. Men are coming to the end of themselves. I thank You Father for open doors of utterance in this community of St. Catharines and this region—open doors of utterance. They shall know the truth and the truth shall make them free. You are the way, the truth and the life and the truth will make them free.
  • I thank You Father for a voice of righteousness in every facet of our nation. The scripture over our nation is: “You shall have dominion from sea to sea”. I thank You Father for hearts being prepared, ready, open, convicted by the Holy Spirit’s power. They have ears to hear. Multitudes in the valley of decision. It’s time. Thank You for an unveiling of every voice of wickedness—they’re understood for who they truly are. They shall know the truth and the truth shall set them free.

ISAIAH 44:28
Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd,
And he shall perform all My pleasure,
Saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,”
And to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid.”’

ISAIAH 45:1-6, 13-14
“Thus says the LORD to His anointed,
To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—
To subdue nations before him
And loose the armor of kings,
To open before him the double doors,
So that the gates will not be shut:
2 ‘I will go before you
And make the crooked places[a] straight;
I will break in pieces the gates of bronze
And cut the bars of iron.
3 I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden riches of secret places,
That you may know that I, the LORD,
Who call you by your name,
Am the God of Israel.
4 For Jacob My servant’s sake,
And Israel My elect,
I have even called you by your name;
I have named you, though you have not known Me.
5 I am the LORD, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me,
6 That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting
That there is none besides Me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other;
13 I have raised him up in righteousness,
And I will direct all his ways;
He shall build My city
And let My exiles go free,
Not for price nor reward,”
Says the LORD of hosts.
14 Thus says the LORD:
“The labor of Egypt and merchandise of Cush
And of the Sabeans, men of stature,
Shall come over to you, and they shall be yours;
They shall walk behind you,
They shall come over in chains;
And they shall bow down to you.
They will make supplication to you, saying, ‘Surely God is in you,
And there is no other;
There is no other God.’”

  • Isaiah’s prophecy concerning King CYRUS . Uttered 100 years before Cyrus was born.
  • God refers to Cyrus as his shepherd even though Cyrus did not know God.
  • JOSEPHUS writes that Cyrus released Israel from captivity when he was shown the prophecy of Isaiah 45 by the Jewish elders.

EZRA 1:1-11 (100 yrs. later)
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORDby the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,
2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:
All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. 3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. 4 And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.
5 Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, with all whose spirits God had moved, arose to go up and build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem. 6 And all those who were around them encouraged them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with precious things, besides all thatwas willingly offered.
7 King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his gods; 8 and Cyrus king of Persia brought them out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them out to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah. 9 This is the number of them: thirty gold platters, one thousand silver platters, twenty-nine knives, 10 thirty gold basins, four hundred and ten silver basins of a similar kind, and one thousand other articles. 11 All the articles of gold and silver were five thousand four hundred. All these Sheshbazzar took with the captives who were brought from Babylon to Jerusalem.

  • The spirit of Cyrus is stirred by God.
  • He writes a DECREE releasing the Jews from 70 yrs. captivity (prophesied by Jeremiah) and releases the instruments of temple worship taken by Nebuchadnezzar.
  • He orders the Jews to go and rebuild the temple at Jerusalem.
  • He orders that the cost be paid from HIS royal treasury and from offerings of the Jews.

EZRA 5:1-17
Then the prophet Haggai and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophets, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel, who was over them. 2 So Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak[a] rose up and began to build the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them, helping them.
3 At the same time Tattenai the governor of the region beyond the River[b] and Shethar-Boznai and their companions came to them and spoke thus to them: “Who has commanded you to build this temple and finish this wall?” 4 Then, accordingly, we told them the names of the men who were constructing this building. 5 But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, so that they could not make them cease till a report could go to Darius. Then a written answer was returned concerning this matter. 6 This is a copy of the letter that Tattenai sent:
The governor of the region beyond the River, and Shethar-Boznai, and his companions, the Persians who were in the region beyond the River, to Darius the king.
7 (They sent a letter to him, in which was written thus)
To Darius the king:
All peace.
8 Let it be known to the king that we went into the province of Judea, to the temple of the great God, which is being built with heavy stones, and timber is being laid in the walls; and this work goes on diligently and prospers in their hands.
9 Then we asked those elders, and spoke thus to them: “Who commanded you to build this temple and to finish these walls?” 10 We also asked them their names to inform you, that we might write the names of the men who were chief among them.
11 And thus they returned us an answer, saying: “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and completed. 12 But because our fathers provoked the God of heaven to wrath, He gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this temple and carried the people away to Babylon. 13 However, in the first year of Cyrus king of Babylon, King Cyrus issued a decree to build this house of God. 14 Also, the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple that was in Jerusalem and carried into the temple of Babylon—those King Cyrus took from the temple of Babylon, and they were given to one named Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor. 15 And he said to him, ‘Take these articles; go, carry them to the temple site that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be rebuilt on its former site.’ 16 Then the same Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem; but from that time even until now it has been under construction, and it is not finished.”
17 Now therefore, if it seems good to the king, let a search be made in the king’s treasure house, which is there in Babylon, whether it is sothat a decree was issued by King Cyrus to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send us his pleasure concerning this matter.

EZRA 6:1-14
Then King Darius issued a decree, and a search was made in the archives,[a] where the treasures were stored in Babylon. 2 And at Achmetha,[b] in the palace that is in the province of Media, a scroll was found, and in it a record was written thus:
3 In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerningthe house of God at Jerusalem: “Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits, 4 with three rows of heavy stones and one row of new timber. Let the expenses be paid from the king’s treasury. 5 Also let the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple which is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and taken back to the temple which is in Jerusalem, each to its place; and deposit them in the house of God”—
6 Now therefore, Tattenai, governor of the region beyond the River, and Shethar-Boznai, and your companions the Persians who are beyond the River, keep yourselves far from there. 7 Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God on its site.
8 Moreover I issue a decree as to what you shall do for the elders of these Jews, for the building of this house of God: Let the cost be paid at the king’s expense from taxes on the region beyond the River; this is to be given immediately to these men, so that they are not hindered. 9 And whatever they need—young bulls, rams, and lambs for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the request of the priests who are in Jerusalem—let it be given them day by day without fail, 10 that they may offer sacrifices of sweet aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king and his sons.
11 Also I issue a decree that whoever alters this edict, let a timber be pulled from his house and erected, and let him be hanged on it; and let his house be made a refuse heap because of this. 12 And may the God who causes His name to dwell there destroy any king or people who put their hand to alter it, or to destroy this house of God which is in Jerusalem. I Darius issue a decree; let it be done diligently.
13 Then Tattenai, governor of the region beyond the River, Shethar-Boznai, and their companions diligently did according to what King Darius had sent. 14 So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

  • The Jews are unable to finish the temple during Cyrus’ reign.
  • Their work and motives are challenged by the regional governor, Tattenai.
  • Tattenai reports the Jews’ activity to King Darius and requests that a search be made to see if such a decree was ever made by Cyrus.
  • the Decree of Cyrus is found and Darius confirms it. He endorses the work to continue. He orders that the Jews are not to be disturbed. He orders that the temple be rebuilt and finished. He orders that the cost be paid from HIS royal treasury.
  • So the rebuilt temple was completed during the reign of Kings Cyrus and Darius.
  • The walls that protected the temple were completed during the reign of King ARTAXERXES and paid for from HIS royal treasury!

ARE THERE IN EXISTENCE TODAY, A CYRUS, OR A DARIUS, OR A ARTAXERXES???
YES! YES! YES!
THEY ARE OUT THERE. THEY MAY NOT KNOW GOD. BUT GOD IS STIRRING THEIR SPIRITS…

  • TO OPEN THEIR HEARTS AND THEIR HANDS
  • TO USE THEIR INFLUENCE AND AUTHORITY.
  • TO RELEASE THEIR WEALTH IN FURTHERING THE WORK OF GOD’S KINGDOM IN THE EARTH.
  • TO ISSUE DECREES AND PROCLAMATIONS.
  • TO GRANT PERMISSIONS AND TO GRANT PASSAGES. TO LOOSE FINANCES, LANDS, BUILDINGS, MATERIALS, SKILLS.
  • TO REMOVE HINDRANCES AND OBSTACLES.
  • TO RELEASE GREAT FAVOUR UPON GOD’S PEOPLE.

WE ARE PRAYING FOR OUR SPIRIT-LED CYRUSES TO COME FORTH NOW IN 2018 TO FURTHER THE VISION THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US AT EAGLES NEST!!!

Prayed…

  • Father we lift up whoever these “Cyruses, Davids and Artaxerxes” are. You stirred their spirits and granted passage, permission and whatever was required for the release and the building of the temple. They’re on the way! They’re on the way! Our Cyruses are on the way!

Prayer Summary for January 11, 2018

The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Joanne Summers

1 Tim 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Prayed…

  • Oh we bless the Lord this morning. We honour and magnify the precious name of Jesus, that name above every name. We declare this morning, Jesus Christ is Lord over this nation of Canada. We declare this morning, Jesus Christ is Lord over the Church. We declare this morning, Jesus Christ is Lord over our families. We declare this morning, Jesus Christ is Lord over this City and over this region. We declare it is so. You are Lord over the Canadian government—federal, provincial and municipal. Lord we declare it. We’re obedient to 1 Timothy 2:1-4. We pray for all those in authority—over our Prime Minister and his family; every member of cabinet and their families. We cry out for a move of Your Spirit in their personal lives and in their families. A personal experience of the goodness of God leading them to repentance. We pull down every high thing that would exalt itself over Your Word in their lives. Touch their hearts this morning. Father that they would hunger and thirst after righteousness. Oh they’re embracing the Word of God as the only truth. We bind every work of darkness that would influence them as they make decisions for this nation. The blood, the blood, the blood, the blood over this nation! The blood over the government! The blood of Jesus is prevailing.
  • We lift up Israel this morning. We pray for their government—grant unto them Your wisdom. That they will know the times and the seasons of the Lord. Preservation of life over Israel—covered by the blood—angelic protection. We say life to those “dry bones” in Jesus name. We say Israel is coming to life—filled with the Spirit of God. An awakening! An awakening! An awakening! They are awakening to the knowledge that the Messiah has come. Their Saviour has come and He’s standing at the door knocking—open the door and He will come in. A remnant rising up in Israel with a heart on fire for God. We thank You Father God this morning. Oh blessed be the name of the Lord. Thank You Jesus.

God’s Grace

We can’t go back, but we can always go forward because of His grace—grace to save and grace to stand – Isaiah 55:1 (AMP) – “Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy grain and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost [simply accept it as a gift from God].

Our best would never be good enough. Our very best efforts could not change the fact that we were blind—a sinner destined to judgment and death. But because of His love and His grace, if we believe and receive by faith like little children we can be saved and by that grace He will enable us to stand through all the trials and tribulations we will walk through until the day of His return. Ephesians 2:8-9 (AMP) – 8 For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favour drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; 9 not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. Jude 24 (AMP) – Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling or falling into sin, and to present you unblemished [blameless and faultless] in the presence of His glory with triumphant joy and unspeakable delight,

Romans 5:1-2 (AMP) – 5 Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed). 2 Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power].

Hebrew 4:14-16 (AMP) – 14 Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith and cling tenaciously to our absolute trust in Him as Savior]. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin. 16 Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favour] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (MSG) – 7-10 Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, my grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.

We cannot do it on our own, we need God’s Holy Spirit – Romans 8:26-27 (AMP) – 26 In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. 27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will.

We are praying this morning for those who need’s God’s saving grace: Acts 15:11 (AMP) – But we believe that we are saved through the [precious, undeserved] grace of the Lord Jesus [which makes us free of the guilt of sin and grants us eternal life], in just the same way as they are.” And those who need God’s strengthening grace: 2 Timothy 2:1 (AMP) – So you, my son, be strong [constantly strengthened] and empowered in the grace that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus.

Prayed…

  • We thank You Father God for Your Holy Spirit, He is indeed our Helper. He teaches us, guides us, instructs us, corrects us and gives us grace to stand. Church, put on the whole armour of God—having done everything to stand, keep on standing. Lay aside every weight and sin that would so easily beset you. Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. We triumph in Christ. We are the sweet aroma of Jesus Christ in the earth. We let our lift shine so that men will see Jesus. Because of our love for one another, people are drawn to Christ. We no longer look behind us, but we look ahead. We run our race with our face set on Jesus Christ. He is our prize! He is our prize! Do no be slack in your praying, in your reading of the Word for in those things you will draw your strength to stand. Oh hold fast! Hold fast people of God, hold fast! He will complete the work He has begun in you. Hold fast to the Word, the Spirit, the blood and the name of Jesus. We are more than conquerors in Christ. He is our front and our rear guard and His banner over us is love. And so we declare this morning Psalm 23 – The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
  • Father we lift up the harvest. We declare this morning they’re experiencing the saving grace of God—that the goodness of the Lord is leading them to repentance. We pull down the spirit of pride, of self sufficiency. Humility, we declare this morning the harvest has a heart of humility—it’s brought to that place by the Spirit of God. We pull down the mindsets of men. Spirit of God stir their hearts to hunger and thirst after Your Word—not only will they hunger, but they will eat, drink and be satisfied. Crooked places are being made straight. Rough places are being made smooth. They are finding that narrow gate that leads to life in Jesus name. We call forth the harvest out of the very north. We call forth the harvest out of the very south. We call forth the harvest out of the far reaches of the east and west. Let God’s people go! This harvest belongs to God and to God alone. Open eyes and open ears in Jesus name. They hear the voice of the Spirit of God and they respond. We make the way for them in prayer—a pathway that leads them to Christ. We say no more confusion. We bind that spirit that brings lies and deception in the name of Jesus. Oh personal visitations this morning—visitation of the Spirit. Specific labourers are coming with a word in season. They bring the cleansing fire and the water of the Word. Transformations! We declare lives are being transformed in Jesus name. Fearless labourers, anointed and appointed for this time and season.
  • Addictions are being broken off lives this morning. Father we pray for those homes where abuse is taking place—physical and sexual abuse. Spirit of the living God, penetrate those homes. Bring conviction to the heart of the abuser, leading to repentance and salvation. Comfort the abused, surround them with Your presence and penetrate their hearts with Your love. There are rescues taking place this morning in Jesus name. The destructive work of the enemy is being exposed—God rescues. God deliverances. God salvations. Let the name of the Lord be glorified in these homes and amongst these family members and we give You the thanks and praise in Jesus name.

By | January Prayer Directives | No Comments

The following was taught and prayed through during our 6 a.m. prayer time with Sue DeGroot

Eph 5:14-Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

Rom 13:11-And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

Rev 3:1-6 -“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

Background on the city of Sardis-it was built on the side of a high hill, it was a prospering city, full of life, people thought of it as being invincible. However, because it was built on the side of a hill, the weather played a factor. It would cause the foundation to crack, but the inhabitants were unaware of it’s condition. So when Cyrus & his army invaded Sardis, they came at night, no guard was at the gate, they scaled the wall, and took the city without a fight.
Jesus was telling the church in Sardis, look at your foundation, pay attention to the cracks, you have allowed the enemy in. Strengthen your foundation, I have the fullness of what you need (seven Spirits of God –Is 11:2-3a). Jesus gave 4 instructions – remember, holdfast, repent, and watch.

We are praying for the dead church to wake up and strengthen their foundations in Christ.

Prayed…

  • Father we come to You in Jesus’ name. We lift up the dead, sleeping church and we say it is time to wake up and recognize the cracks in your foundation. The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. Thank You that they are waking up, are revived and are quickly making adjustments. We bind the spirit of lethargy.
  • Thank You that they receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Thank You that they are humbling themselves and making adjustments.
  • It starts with the head. Therefore we pray for the pastors to be able to clearly see the spiritual condition in Jesus name. Daily to be abiding in Him.
  • Thank You that they are building a strong foundation on the revelation of Jesus Christ.
  • The repairer of the breach.
  • We say to those who have ears to hear, hear what the spirit is saying to you. Not hearing only but DO it and LIVE it.
  • We declare life to the churches in Jesus’ name. Amen.
